Life is a Theatrical Play
Written by Ourselves
Isabelle expressed herself for the first time in February 14, 1985 in a small town of Saguenay Lac St-Jean named Roberval.
Early in her life, she felt attracted towards photography, theatre and eccentric costumes that reflect on her complex identity and that will become her trademark has the years go by.
In 2002, after finishing her High School years successfully, she left her hometown to start studying photography in Quebec City. However, her views clashed fiercely with the methods taught by the academic establishment.
After all, the last thing a true artist desires is to follow the footsteps of his predecessor. Thus, she gave up persuaded that this path was not the one for her.
Quickly, many opportunities arose to exhibit her works in Quebec City and her pictures have attracted positive attention. Soon afterward, she started to gather orders and to sell her works.
She signed a predetermined contract with “Les studios magenta” at the end of 2007, which made her one of the few self-taught photograph to work with them.
Isabelle’s appealing charisma and her preference towards portrait photography persuade her models to surrender in front of the intimidating camera lens despite often silly, absurd or ironic situations.
Her work includes many satirical, dramatic or romantic self-portraits which illustrate her propensity for theatrical matters.
With many upcoming projects in mind, she incessantly throws herself body and soul in the fantasy world of creation that his now her own. This is how she gives us the desire to follow her throughout her story and her work and it is hard to resist to this well dose universe of craziness and lucidity. |
