The genuine artist only works according to his soul’s will, love and beliefs. Nothing can take him away from this. In the painter and sculptress Hélène Larouche, this genuineness transcend through her entire creation. Her works breathe an unusual and precious truthfulness; a quality often altered by a superficial need to please which has nothing to do with the Art itself.

Born in Québec in 1957, this prolific creator seems to urge us to a disquieting questioning about the human existence. The essence of her work leaves no place to a readiness which could not coexist with the evolution of the being. On the contrary, we feel in it a tangible attraction for the unknown; this friend that we sometimes fear but which allows the soul to reach its highest level.

Bachelor graduate in Applied Sciences since 1981, she completed a ceramist formation at l’école de céramique of Ste-Foy in 1982 as well as a bachelor degree in Visual Arts at Laval University in 1988.

With the passing years, her professional journey grows richer continuously by means of numerous exhibits in addition to her involvement in the artistic and cultural milieu. Without a doubt, Hélène Larouche unquestionably progresses in history and leaves us as she goes by the mark of her magnificent and singular creative uniqueness.

Her work his found in numerous private collections, in Alberta, in the United-States and Québec among others.
